ESP Rope Access Technology is a full and active member of IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) both as an operator and trainer. Being a member of IRATA ensures that ESPRAT is able to undertake a wide variety of tasks, in otherwise difficult circumstances, using industrial rope access techniques in a safe and efficient manner.

IRATA's principal aim is to ensure that work carried out by its members using industrial rope access techniques, is done in a safe and high quality manner. This is proven by IRATA's independently-audited accident reports that demonstrates its training and operational work delivers the safest means of working at height.

ESP Rope Access Technology is able to carry out ABS classification surveys. The American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) is a ship classification society and is the third largest classification society with a classed fleet of over 10,000 commercial vessels and offshore facilities.

The mission of ABS is to promote the security of life, property and the natural environment, primarily through the development and verification of standards for the design, construction and operational maintenance of marine-related facilities.

ESP Rope Access Technology is a joint venture partner of Safehouse Habitat (Scotland) Ltd. As a joint venture partner and approved agent ESPRAT is able to install and maintain habitats with a proven world wide track record.

Safehouse habitats are pressurised enclosures which allow hot work to be carried out safely in potentially hazardous atmospheres. This is achieved by isolating the area in which hot work is to be carried out and pressurising it with safe, clean air. This in turn reduces your shut down period as works which previously required a full shut down can be carried out in a live environment.

ESP Rope Access Technology has also been assessed and approved in accordance to the requirements of Lloyd's Register Approval for Thickness Measurement of Hull Structure as a service supplier for the provision of Thickness Measurement of Hull Structure. The thickness measurements may be used by the surveyors or shipowners' representatives when making decisions affecting classification, statutory certification or the operation of the ship.
